Hoit, Care Loder & Co., 83 Cedar St., New York", opening tear in flap barely shows at top edge

THIS IS AMONG THE FINEST OF THE EIGHT RECORDED COVERS BEARING THE DISTINCTIVE MILLBURY PROVISIONAL DEPICTING GEORGE WASHINGTON. THIS IS THE FIRST TIME THIS COVER HAS BEEN OFFERED AT AUCTION SINCE ITS DISCOVERY IN 1896.
