VERY FINE. THIS IS THE ONLY RECORDED COVER WITH A CONFEDERATE POSTMASTER'S PROVISIONAL FROM OUTSIDE NEW ORLEANS THAT WAS DELIVERED TO A STREET ADDRESS AND DATESTAMPED BY THE N.O.U.S. CITY POST.

The 2c fee for delivery was presumably paid in cash by the addressee.
