122   Great Salt Lake City, Utah Territory, Oct. 15th 1854. Dateline on contents only, to Hon. Geo. W. Jones, letter mentions "the field of my labors is by no means a pleasant one, as I am under necessity at the present time of traveling some three hundred miles through Indian country with a heavy guard, the Indians at this time are very hostile...affairs in this territory at the present time are flourishing and prosperous with the exception of Indian difficulties.", transcript accompanies E. 200-300 325.00
