Apr. 9, 1886" circular datestamp (Ty. 238.02, Rarity 1RR) on cover to San Francisco, red "San Francisco Cal. Paid All Apr. 18" receiving datestamp, Honolulu and San Francisco backstamps, notation on back "Edward Murray, Hanalei, Kauai, Sandwich Islands, 6c postage", cover slightly toned and a bit reduced at right, stamps have some toned perfs, otherwise Very Fine, this datestamp is the earliest of Kauai's handstamped townmarks, rare (Image) E. 1,000-1,500 1,600.00
