receiving datestamps on back, skillfully cleaned and pressed, 2c stamps
have minor faults, still a Fine and extremely rare multiple franking with
the 2c Lilac Rose, a scarce stamp on any kind of cover, especially
commercial non-philatelic usages, this is reported to be one of the largest

datestamp on cover addressed in Hawaiian to Koleaka, Oahu, slightly reduced
at right, still Very Fine, the use of "Oahu" in the address and 2c
inter-island rate suggest that this probably originated on another island
and was carried by schooner to Honolulu where it entered the mails, an
interesting use, ex Beardsley and Pietsch
