Double-circle datestamp and "Paid" with ms. "10 Cents" on yellow cover
to Olympia, Washington Territory, lightly soiled, slightly reduced
at right, otherwise Fine, Confederate covers addressed to a U.S. territory
are exceedingly rare, it is unclear how this cover was transmitted to
Washington Territory unless it was put into the U.S. mails and went
unrecognized as of Confederate origin (coincidentally, prior to 1863 the
10c rate applied to U.S. mail sent over 3,000 miles)
