N.H., brilliant color on crisp paper, choice centering with wide and
balanced marginsEXTREMELY FINE GEM. A SUPERB MINT NEVER-HINGED EXAMPLE OF THE 1875 2-CENT VERMILION CONTINENTAL BANK NOTE COMPANY ISSUE. A search of our computerized records indicates that this stamp is exceedingly difficult to fine in Mint N.H. and centered condition, despite its modest catalogue value. Collectors of superb Mint N.H. stamps would do well to pay attention to the example offered here. With 1995 P.F. certificate for block of four. with enormous margins at top and bottomEXTREMELY FINE. A BREATHTAKING MINT NEVER-HINGED 1875 5-CENT TAYLOR PRINTED BY CONTINENTAL BANK NOTE COMPANY. A TRUE CONDITION RARITY. Although large multiples of the 5c Taylor American printing on soft paper (Scott 185) have provided Mint Never-Hinged singles, the 1875 Continental is very scarce in Mint Never-Hinged condition and rare in this grade.
