coverVERY FINE. A SPECTACULARLY BEAUTIFUL SUPPLEMENTARY MAIL COVER TO FRANCE PREPAID AT THE 16-CENT TREATY RATE VIA ENGLAND AND CANCELLED BY THE NEW YORK FOREIGN MAIL SHADED STAR CANCEL IN RED. The New York Foreign Mail Shaded Star cancel is considered scarce by Weiss, but it is extremely rare in red (none reported in his census).
