Rich color, large margins to in, tied by black grid, red "Boston 5cts. 15 Mar." circular datestamp on blue 1851 folded letter to New York, stamp also tied by prominent file fold, otherwise Fine, scarce example of the Ty. D double transfer in the dark Brown shade, with 1983 P.F. certificate, Scott Retail as normal double transfer off cover (Image) 3,250.00
1469 c image5c Brown, Double Transfer Ty. A (1-A). Position 80R, large margins to barely in, intense color, tied by blue grid cancel, matching "Philada. Pa. 10cts. Sep. 21" circular datestamp on 1847 folded letter to Lebanon O., some slight overall cover toning, Very Fine, Scott Retail as off-cover (Image) 700.00
1470 c image5c Orange Brown (1b). Large even margins, cancelled by blue penstrokes on blue cover to Lakeville Conn., endorsed "via Bridgeport" at bottom left, minor age spotting, Very Fine, unusual usage, this apparently escaped being cancelled when it was sent (probably from N.Y. based on the correspondence) and was cancelled by the blue pen on arrival (Image) 950.00
