VERY FINE APPEARANCE. THE 60-CENT 1894 NEWSPAPER ISSUE IS ONE OF THE RAREST OF ALL NEWSPAPER STAMPS. ONLY ELEVEN ARE CONTAINED IN OUR RECORDS.

Of the eleven copies contained in our records, only two are potentially sound, and neither is as well-centered as the example offered here. This example is one of the best-centered copies.

FINE AND RARE EXAMPLE OF THE 96-CENT 1894 NEWSPAPER ISSUE.

This is the first example we have offered since our 1993 Rarities sale. None was offered in the Floyd, Lessin or Lyons sale. We have not completed our census work for this rarity, but we feel confident in stating that this will prove to be one of the rarest of all newspaper stamps.
