large red "Honolulu U.S. Postage Paid Nov. 23" circular datestamp on buff
cover to Woodburn, Ill., Sturges correspondence, carried on the
Comet (cleared Nov. 23, arrived Dec. 4 -- a record short trip at
this time), though the 5c is uncancelled and this is an early use, the
Sturges correspondence is a reliable source of Kamehameha III issue mixed
