5c on 8m Blue Green, Fifth Printing (220). Light Puerto Principe
circular datestamp, slight tropical toning, centered tiny bit in at bottom,
one of the rarest of all the Puerto Principe overprints, signed H. Bloch
and with 1973 Friedl certificate, Scott Catalogue states that most
examples, except the most common, are faulty or have tropical toning and
that their values are for "sound copies where they exist", it is possible
that this is just about as nice quality as can be found for this stamp (Image) |

postage, legion and town postmarks and censor handstamp, also includes a
larger size cover bearing a set of the three legion post stamps perforated
13.75 and tied by Polni Posta postmarks, other official markings and black
on pink label, Very Fine lot, the postcard is rare
