related items, representing all periods and styles from the golden age of
stamp use, tremendous range of items incl. a few by well-known makers such
as Tiffany (executed in silver), several beautifully crafted designs such
as an elaborate ivory design of a house with hinged roof containing
compartments for stamps inside (5-1/2" wide x 4" deep x 5" high), other
interesting items incl. letter opener with compartment for stamps built
into handle, blotter with built-in stamp compartment, range of other
materials used incl. approximately 40 cloisonne, approximately 28 are wood
with various inlays, painted designs or gilding, some are pocket or purse
holders with varying designs, several types of metals incl. some scarce
