The finest of the three recorded examples sold for $11,500 hammer in our 2004 Rarities sale(this was the only example ever certified by the Philatelic Foundation as genuine). All examples of this variety are reported to have weak impressions on back -- this is reported to be the finest. A pair was offered in our 1967 Rarities sale but was not even photographed. A single was subsequently offered in the 1978 Kaufmann Gems sale, which may have been part of the pair.
