VERY FINE. ONE OF THE RAREST OF ALL UNITED STATES COMMEMORATIVE FIRST DAY COVERS, WITH ONLY TWO SINGLE FRANKINGS OF THE 5-CENT PAN-AMERICAN ISSUE RECORDED.

The McCusker firm recently sold the other 5c Pan-American single franking FDC in (Sale #203 in February 2005) for $30,000 plus 15% premium for a total of $34,500. We cannot stress enough the significance of a First Day Cover with a single 5c stamp paying the UPU rate to a foreign country.

Green, who was an active collector and stamp club officer in Boston, neatly opened at left and with Boston May 3, 1901 backstamp
