multicolor Tribute labels, all cancelled on July 4, 1944. Heroes include
Ethan Allen, Nathan Hale, Paul Revere, Lincoln, Sam Houston, Daniel
Webster, Daniel Boone, Jefferson, John Paul Jones, Betsy Ross, George
Washington, and others. All stamps are tied with additional beautiful WWII
Tribute labels, with each cancel from a related city, example Independence
OR, Freedom NE, Independence LA etc. In all there are 13 Independence
cancels, 7 Freedom cancels and 1 Freeland cancel, with State duplication.
An amazing collection requiring a great deal of logistical coordination.
