698 c imageAirmail and Other Back-of-Book First Day Cover Collection. Over 550 covers mounted in 6 albums from C2. Airmail FDCs range from C2 (first flight) through C14, then progress through Special Delivery covers and postal stationery. This is actually part remainder collection (C2-C12) and part unpicked (the remaining 80% of the collection). Although one could hardly call the C2-C14 section a remainder collection under most circumstances, in this case it is remarkably exactly that, but far better than most we've seen. Book number 1 includes issues as follows, C2 & C3 first First Flights (7/15/18 & 5/15/18 w/certs respectively), First Days continue with C4-C6 on three covers, C7 x 14 with Gorham, C8 x 6, C9 6 with Gorham, C10 x 32 with Griffin, Mauck x 2, Gorham x 2, Bahr unofficial, C10A single and full booklet, C11 x 8 with Mauck, postage due x 2, single usage, C12 x 14 with Gorham, Emeigh, Roessler x 4, Chicago unofficial, C13 First Day on card, C14 First Day on standard-size cover. Books 2 through 5 cover the gamete starting with E12, E13 x 6, E14 x 5, E15 x 4 (one by Southgate), E16 x 3, QE1-4 issues x 24 (with QE1-3 on one cover), CE1-2 with over 100 covers represented with several better cachets and on throughout the stationery envelopes and cards (many better and with early cacheted too) and we even note a bit of Canal Zone. A fantastic lot that will reveal many better covers and a fine opportunity for the bourse dealer or eBay seller looking for mostly better back-of-book FDCs. (Image) E. 6,000-9,000 5,250.00

700 c image16c Great Seal, Air Post Special Delivery (CE2). Planty #39D, Beazell photographic cachet "Speed Plane Carying Mail" on cover to Beazell, this is the actual cover illustrated in Planty and the only example we have handled for this Planty number -- it is, in fact, only the second example of any Beazell for this issue we have handled on over 25 years and is possibly unique (Image) E. 600-750 950.00
