1745 1c Buff (112). Specialized collection of one unused (no gum), seventeen used and four covers, there are several nice fancy cancels among the off-cover stamps and include blue quartered cork, purple, red town, Masonic square and compass, star, multiply struck "10", large "OK", "PAID", shield, etc. (three with P.F. certificates, also one that appears to be green but not counted as such, the covers include use with a 2c, strip of three from California to New York, on an IRS tax form and fancy Yonkers N.Y. star, condition varies but the majority of the items are Fine-Very Fine E. 1,500-2,000 1,150.00
1746 1c Buff, Hard & Soft Paper Re-Issues (123, 133, 133a). Nine stamps, includes two unused (no gum) and one unused (no gum examples of Nos. 123 and 133, used includes two No. 123 (one with blue target cancel), the other with quartered cork (1998 P.F. certificate), three No. 133 used with fancy Maltese Cross (1998 P.F. certificate), town postmark and "CR" double oval, No. 133a used with scarce purple bars cancel, also includes used No. 112 which was identified as No. 123, but has a pressed-out or faint grill, somewhat mixed quality, Fine-Very Fine appearance, scarce group E. 500-750 550.00
1747 1c-90c 1870 Bank Note Grilled Issue. 125 used stamps on stock pages, duplication incl. lots of 6c, 7c, 10c and 15c values, also incl. one 12c, nice variety of cancellations, higher catalogue-value stamps with Very Good-Fine centering and minor faults, some reperfed, others generally Fine-Very Fine with small faults, a great source of scarce issues still appearing on many want lists, Scott Retail approximately $50,000.00 E. 4,000-5,000 6,750.00
1748 1870-88 Bank Note Issues. Over 400 used stamps arranged on stock pages, values to the 90c with duplication of higher denominations, good variety of cancellations incl.
