To underscore the scarcity of this stamp in Mint N.H. condition, the Zoellner collection contained a lightly-hinged copy. Years of searching failed to uncover a Mint N.H. stamp with suitable centering for his collection. The comparable Mint N.H. stamp in our sale of the Piedmont collection (Sale 842, lot 325) realized $3,500 hammer.
