VERY FINE. A SPECTACULAR AND RARE USAGE OF THE 3-CENT 1857 ISSUE ON A PATRIOTIC COVER TO ALGERIA.

The rates to Algeria were the same as those to France. This cover, used in August 1861 from Old Point Comfort, is a remarkable and unique Civil War era usage.
