So-called "Cincinnati Red" Lilac shade with choice margins and almost
perfect centering, the color is deep and true, further enhanced by a neat
blue Cincinnati datestamp, Extremely Fine, one of the finest used
examples of this elusive shade (Image)

This is not the "First Color" Dark Violet, but the regularly-issued Violet shade of 1861. It is extremely rare in original-gum condition.
