VERY FINE APPEARANCE. A RARE ORIGINAL-GUM EXAMPLE OF THE 1861 24-CENT VIOLET.

This is not the "First Color" Dark Violet, but the regularly-issued Violet shade of 1861. It is extremely rare in original-gum condition.
