Original gum in Mint N.H. condition, large even margins all around
incl. part of adjoining stamp at top and sheet margin at bottom,
remarkably brilliant color and sharp proof-like impression on bright white
paperEXTREMELY FINE GEM. A SUPERB MINT NEVER-HINGED EXAMPLE OF THE 3-CENT 1851 ORANGE BROWN. A REMARKABLE CLASSIC STAMP IN PERFECT CONDITION. POSSIBLY THE FINEST MINT NEVER-HINGED EXAMPLE OF THIS ISSUE EXTANT.
We doubt that more than a handful of this issue exists in Extremely Fine Gem Mint Never-Hinged condition. We have offered only two other Mint N.H. examples of this issue in recent memory, both in Extremely Fine condition. This is the only example we have offered with a sheet margin.
