BRAZIL. 1843-1953, very valuable and comprehensive collection in a
Scott Specialty album, begins with an impressive array of 1843 Bulls Eyes
including three 30r, seven 60r and seven 90r, also pairs of the 30r and 60r
and the Herbert Bloch reference collection of 24 stamps (9, 10 and 5
respectively), 1844-46 Goats Eyes complete including extra 600r from the
Bloch reference, fairly extensive 1850-66 with unused and used singles and
some pairs and blocks, Scott No. 21-52 complete, better items such as No.
22 unused block, No. 27 unused pair, No. 27 cover, nine examples of No. 28,
unused Nos. 39 and 40, 1866-79 Bank Notes complete unused and/or used,
includes No. 53 cover, No. 56 pair on cover, No. 71 cover, unused 1881-88
mall Heads and Numerals, varieties, watermarks and shades are numerous from
1890-1905, less frequent from there on to 1953 but with occasional
interesting items such as No. 272a, 356b block, 357a, part perf. pairs of a
couple values of the 1932 Revolutionary set, No. 376b, 463A (only 1,500
issued), 495a, 1940 World's Fair souvenir sheet, etc. plus all of the
"little", mostly inexpensive stamps that are simply hard to find, air post
with Scott listed virtually complete with nice varieties, and Sanabria No.
Z1-10, C1-C15, C1-C7 First Flight cover, C7-C8 First Day cover, C11-C14
First Flight cover, and V1/V54 mint stamps and covers, complete postage
dues, a few officials and newspaper issues complete, also three stampless
covers including an 1836 "V.DIAMANTINA" elongated oval, generally Fine-Very
Fine and excellent for expansion |
