of each denomination in small protective case, deeply impressed and showing
every minute detail of the engraving, 5c with small crackEXTREMELY FINE. A RARE SET OF WAX ESSAY IMPRESSIONS FOR THE 1903 POSTAL STATIONERY ISSUE. The depth of impression in the red wax means that every little detail of the engraving is clearly visible. One of the most striking features (and one not easily apparent on the issued entires) is the varying of the depth of the design, depending on the part of the engraving.
