Feb. 10 5-PM 1909" machine cancel on pre-First Day cover to Brighton Mass., Very Fine, scarce, a joint resolution of Congress was passed on Jan. 22, 1909 authorizing a special Lincoln stamp to commemorate the 100th anniversary of his birth, it was officially issued on Feb. 12, 1909, his birthday. The cover offered here predates the official first day of use, approximately 20-25 predated usages are known, with 1990 P.F. certificate (Image) E. 750-1,000 750.00
