handstamp on manila envelope with blue handstamped "Paid" in circle and
large "5" provisional markings of Columbia S.C., to Nickojack Tenn.,
with letter datelined "Lookout Mt. House near Chattanooga, June 28,
1861", Very Fine, this cover provides clear evidence that Columbia
prepared provisional entires without the seal on reverse
