EXTREMELY FINE GEM. EASILY ONE OF THE FINEST MINT NEVER-HINGED PLATE BLOCKS OF THE 15-CENT COLUMBIAN ISSUE IN EXISTENCE.

EXTREMELY FINE GEM. A SUPERB MINT NEVER-HINGED PLATE BLOCK OF THE 30-CENT COLUMBIAN ISSUE.

It is unlikely that a finer plate block of the 30c Columbian exists. Considering that Extremely Fine, Mint Never-Hinged singles of the 30c Columbian are rare and command $2,000-3,000 auction realizations vs. $650.00 Scott value, there should be a commensurate or greater premium placed on the much-rarer plate block in such condition.
