The enclosed letter is from Theodore Siddall, a stamp dealer, to his more famous American colleague, Eugene Klein. Siddall writes a fascinating philatelic letter about the Offices in China overprints, sending ten sets by mail, commenting "the American post office is the least accommodating of all the offices here, and anyway their cancellation is the worst of all" and other notes about German and Russian Offices in China issues. stampsFINE-VERY FINE. A COLORFUL EARLY USAGE OF A COMPLETE SET OF THE OFFICES IN SHANGHAI OVERPRINTS. The normal transit time was approximately 25-30 days, with some taking slightly longer. Working backwards towards the July 1, 1919 issue date, this cover was probably sent during the first week the stamps were on sale, if not on the first day. The addressee, H. F.
