EXTREMELY FINE. IN OUR OPINION THIS IS THE FINEST EXAMPLE OF THE "NORTH-SOUTH" SHAKING HANDS FANCY CANCEL EXTANT.

Over the years in several conversations with the late Bruce G. Daniels, he remarked (in his usual modest tone) that the clarity of the strike on this cover and the bright Vermilion background of the stamp made this the finest example he had ever seen. We concur. (Image)
