gum) comprising a reconstructed sheet, each stamp with full to large
margins, position noted lightly in pencil on back, Pos. 2 with crude repair
at top, four others with small faults that do not detract from this
important rarityVERY FINE. THIS IS THE ONLY AVAILABLE RECONSTRUCTED SHEET OF THE 1848 ONE-PENCE RED ORANGE -- ONE OTHER IS RECORDED AND HELD BY THE BRITISH LIBRARY. AN OUTSTANDING SHOWPIECE.
