Twelve unused (no gum) comprising a reconstructed sheet, each stamp with full to large margins, position noted lightly in pencil on back, Pos. 2 with crude repair at top, four others with small faults that do not detract from this important rarity

VERY FINE. THIS IS THE ONLY AVAILABLE RECONSTRUCTED SHEET OF THE 1848 ONE-PENCE RED ORANGE -- ONE OTHER IS RECORDED AND HELD BY THE BRITISH LIBRARY. AN OUTSTANDING SHOWPIECE.
