Jul. 19" and French transit datestamps, ms. due rate, transit and receiving (Aug. 1856) backstamps, with copy of original enclosure, fresh and Very Fine, scarce usage overpaying the 21c rate by 3c (Image) E. 1,000-1,500 2,100.00
2071 c image3c Dull Red (11). Horizontal strip of six and single, large margins to just in, tied by well-struck "Chicago Ill. Sep. 8" circular datestamps on cover to U.S. Ship Constellation at Spezzia, Sardinia, red "New York Am. Packet Sep. 19" circular datestamp, 1855 French transit, ms. due rate, transit and receiving backstamps, with copy of original enclosure, left stamp slightly affected from placement at edge of cover, still Very Fine, an attractive and rare franking to pay the 21c rate (Image) E. 2,000-3,000 2,300.00

Bottom right half, large margins to just barely in, tied across the cut by rim of San Francisco circular datestamp on buff cover with Pacific Pioneer Daguerrean Gallery blue cameo corner card, to Delhi N.Y., small adhesive stains at edges, Fine, one of the few 12c 1851 bisects known on corner card covers, this San Francisco daguerrean gallery card is itself very rare (Image) 2,500.00 2,100.00
