seal and torn in half upon opening (repaired), tied by perfect bold
"Accokeek Va. Mar. 17, 1862" circular datestamp on illustrated
Temperance propaganda cover to Greensboro N.C., imprint of Wm. C. Hale,
Hartford Conn., ms. "Missent to Chapel Hill N.C.", overall Very Fine
(despite damage to stamp from opening), all edges intact, but could be
opened for display -- a great rarity, as most Temperance Movement envelopes
