EXTREMELY FINE. A SUPERB STAMP AND COVER BEARING THE TOKAY ROULETTE WITH INTACT ROULETTES ALONG THE SHEET MARGIN.

In an article in the 1950 National Philatelic Museum handbook, Felix Brunner notes that the Austrian stamps issued in 1850 were rouletted in Tokay, Hungary, presumably by the local postmaster. The same rouletting is also found used from Hommona. Mr. Brunner notes that the rouletting likely started at Hommona (which is only found on the Type I stamps), and that the postmaster there later rouletted stamps to be used in Tokay.
