1c Green, Perf 10 at Top
(498g). Mint N.H., deep dark color and sharp proof-like impression,
post-office freshFINE. ONE OF THE RAREST OF THE PERF 10 VARIETIES. The 1c 1917 with Perf 10 at top or bottom is one of the rarest of all Perf 10 varieties. It was missing from the William Schilling collection, and it eluded Robert Zoellner during twelve years of diligent search. We have been very conservative in estimating the value of this Mint N.H. example, and it would not surprise us to see this stamp realize several times our estimate. With 2001 P.F. certificate (Image) |
