French transit markingEXTREMELY FINE GEM. A DIFFICULT STAMP TO FIND WITH PERFORATIONS COMPLETELY CLEAR OF THE DESIGN ON ALL SIDES.
As multiples show, the spacing between stamps on the 5c plates was very narrow, and did not allow sufficient space for 12-gauge perforations. Stamps with centering such as this are rare.
