Sound blocks with original gum have always been scarce, but the harvesting of centered singles has left very few blocks intact. This block is among the best-centered to survive. (Image)

2" circular datestamp, stamp with expert repair at top right, Very Fine
appearance, this type of U.S. Postal Agency in Shanghai datestamp is new to
us and not recorded in any of the reference books on the subject -- it
appears to be a genuine and unrecorded marking
