datestampsVERY FINE AND CHOICE. AN INCALCULABLY RARE BLOCK OF THE 1923 2-CENT ROTARY COIL WASTE ISSUE.
This used block of the 1923 2c Rotary coil waste issue is a tremendous rarity. The Hanschen collection contained a similar used block, and there may be a few others in collections. However, Scott 579 is available in used block form so infrequently, we suspect that the Scott Catalogue value of $900.00 (versus $500.00 for four used singles) is obsolete.

neat machine slogan cancelVERY FINE. THIS IS THE FINEST OF THE FIVE RECORDED PAIRS OF SCOTT 594. NO LARGER MULTIPLES ARE KNOWN TO EXIST.
Three of the five pairs are tied on piece by Madison Square Station N.Y. machine cancels. All of the other pairs have perforations either touching or close to the design and one is faulty.
