2c Carmine, Rotary, Perf 11 x
10 (579). Block of four, deep rich color, neat strikes of 1924 circular
datestampsVERY FINE AND CHOICE. AN INCALCULABLY RARE BLOCK OF THE 1923 2-CENT ROTARY COIL WASTE ISSUE. This used block of the 1923 2c Rotary coil waste issue is a tremendous rarity. The Hanschen collection contained a similar used block, and there may be a few others in collections. However, Scott 579 is available in used block form so infrequently, we suspect that the Scott Catalogue value of $900.00 (versus $500.00 for four used singles) is obsolete.
