FINE AND RARE. ONLY NINE USED PAIRS AND THE GUIDE LINE STRIP OF FOUR OFFERED IN THE FOLLOWING LOT ARE KNOWN TO US. A GREAT RARITY.

The Philatelic Foundation has certified as genuine only eight used pairs and the used strip of four with guide line offered in the following lot. The pair offered here becomes the ninth in our records.

VERY FINE STRIP. THIS IS THE ONLY RECORDED USED GUIDE LINE MULTIPLE OF SCOTT 388. AN OUTSTANDING 20TH CENTURY RARITY.

Only nine used pairs are known to us (including eight certified as genuine by the Philatelic Foundation). After a thorough search of certificate records and auction catalogues, the only used guide line multiple of any size we have been able to locate is this strip of four.
