VERY FINE APPEARANCE. ONE OF ONLY TWO RECORDED USED COPIES OF THE 15-CENT 1869 RE-ISSUE IMPERFORATE HORIZONTALLY. ONE OF THE MAJOR RARITIES OF USED UNITED STATES CLASSIC STAMPS.

The other recorded used example of Scott 129a has a registry oval and is reperforated at left. It has received two P.F. certificates, most recently in 2000 after it was sold at auction for Canadian $7,250.
