VERY FINE AND EXCEEDINGLY RARE EXAMPLE OF THIS CLASSIC PERFORATION VARIETY. ONLY ONE INTACT VERTICAL PAIR IMPERFORATE HORIZONTALLY IS RECORDED.

The only recorded intact pair was offered in our sale of the Piller collection in March 1993, where it realized $6,000 hammer.

VERY FINE EXAMPLE OF THIS RARE CLASSIC PERFORATION ERROR. ONLY A FEW ARE KNOWN TO EXIST.

The Piller collection (our Sale 748) contained a cover with a vertical strip of three, also postmarked at Griffin Ga. We are unaware of any other examples of this error.
