thinned in grillFINE APPEARANCE. AN EXTRAORDINARY USED STRIP. THE SECOND LARGEST USED MULTIPLE OF THE 90-CENT 1869 ISSUE AND THE ONLY UNIT OF SIX AVAILABLE TO COLLECTORS. The largest used multiple of the 90c 1869, according to the Rose book, is a strip of seven stamps. This is the next largest used unit, the used block of six is permanently part of the Hirzel collection at the Swiss Postal Museum. After this strip of six, there are six used blocks of four, one of which is also in the Swiss Postal Museum. A used block of four realized $40,000 hammer in our September 1997 Rose sale.
