345 c Memphis, Tenn., 5c Red (56X2). Two single affized Tete-Beche on Aug. 9, 1861 Folded Letter From London, England tied by Memphis Sept. 1861 pmk. to Petersburg, Va., Very Fine, ex-Caspary. In the Caspary Sale This Cover is listed as having originated at "London, Canada." The "Canada" no doubt was transcribed from the letter heading but in our opinion refers to a Ship or a routing via Canada. In the former instance this privately carried letter would have Run The Blockade, in the latter instance the letter would ahve been carried down-river & seems to be the more logical of the two methods, based on postal origin and destination. In Either Case A Most Fascinating & Rare Cover
